Square-Enix splits with IO Interactive

Falconer / May 11, 2017

Square-Enix has just announced that they are splitting their partnership with IO Interactive putting the future of the Hitman series in doubt. In 2009, Square-Enix took control of IO & is currently has begun negotiations with potential new investors to keep it going.

Square-Enix is keeping the IP for Hitman while discarding IO. This is what happened to the great Sleeping Dogs game which since has been dead as a series.

Square-Enix Statment

Looks like IO has turned out to be a liability. Sad. Square-Enix will find new partnerships to help them move forward.
Yeah but they shouldn't have taken their licence.
