Mine doesn't really look like me either. You can get the clothes and shoes (somewhat) you normally wear, but the face, not so much. These characters are more of a caricature of yourself, kinda like you, but kind of cartoony.
"Play is the highest form of research, a chance to discover who we are, or maybe who we want to become." - Albert Einstein Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape. Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't. Yes, the facial features cannot be tuned, but this little workshop allows for a bit more freedom as to depict your "character". I have completed a new one for both my Xbox accounts and while it doesn't look like me in detail, it allows me to express my true self characterization a lot better so you get a better aspect of the real me. I have yet to see an avatar that meets my need, heck, my hair is down to my belt, and I am 6'2" tall, so my hair is nearly 3' long. They don't have enough variation on beards either, I wear a van dyke, but my chin whiskers are about 6" long, not close cut, but again, it give you a bit more of a personality. I wish they would allow for detail sculpting like Fallout 4 does, but not yet I guess. Still better than the old version.
