Wolfenstein: The New Order got a standalone expansion about a year after release, Old Blood, but I hadn't hoped to see similar for Wolfenstein II, one of 2017's best games. Luckily Machine Games had my back though, with Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

Flashing forward in time to the alt-history 1980s, the stars this time are BJ Blazkowicz's twin daughters. And yes, since they're twins, the entire campaign can be played co-op with a friend.

There isn’t too much information about Wolfenstein: Youngblood yet, but we do know that developer Machine Games will be developing the sequel, and that you’ll be able to play through the game as either a cooperative, two player experience or a single player adventure as the Blazkowicz twins search for their missing father. Can't wait.

But that's not all. Bethesda's making a Wolfenstein VR game too, called Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot. That's about all we know at the moment, as there wasn't even a trailer on display. Look out for more details soon though.

Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape.
Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.

In this version of the Nazi-shooting series, you play Sophia and Jessica, the twin daughters of BJ Blazkowicz, the hero of many previous Wolfenstein games. The story takes place 19 years after The New Colossus. BJ is missing, and he was last tracked to Paris, where he disappeared from the grid. The daughters take it upon themselves to defy their mother Anya and the authorities and hunt BJ down.

Welcome to the 1980s. BJ Blazkowicz is missing. His last-known whereabouts: Nazi-occupied Paris. The only ones who can find him are his twin daughters, Jess and Soph Blazkowicz—and no Nazi scum are gonna stand in their way.
