Todd Howard Won't Even Tell His Son Anything About The Elder Scrolls 6

Title makes him sound stingy, but its a nice article and confirms that it is coming. I had some doubts because of how well ESO is going. Theoretically they could use the map from ESO it is almost the size of the contaminant so the game would be bigger than the other 5 games combined.

We were told The Elder Scrolls 6 is so far away Bethesda doesn’t even want to talk about it. But Bethesda did talk about it. As the final announcement of their E3 show last night, Bethesda confirmed that development on The Elder Scrolls 6 has now begun.

Development on it has started. What this also means is that there will be no new mainline The Elder Scrolls game this generation. So, The Elder Scrolls 6 is coming. It will be a next gen game. I assume it is for PS5 and the next Xbox, as well as PC. That’s it for now.

Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape.
Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.

Todd did say during an interview about F76 that there are some clues in the video that they intentionally put in there so that people can figure out where ES6 is set.

Internet sleuths (not me) have speculated that the next game will be set in High Rock — an oddly shaped peninsula on Tamriel’s northwestern coast. The theories are certainly sound. We can see in the teaser that the land is near the ocean and has the tall mountains and ruins of High Rock. It is also just about the only place the franchise has not significantly visited. So guess all you want. Bethesda's lips are sealed on setting or any other details.

According to the wiki its Breton territory. Always thought of them as the opposites of the Nords so that makes some sense.
