Got lots of pubs around my area with a great selection of world ales, my local is actually an old theatre that has been converted into a huge two story pub and looks amazing.

Personally,I like to drink on the beach with friends, while eating Northern Thai cuisine(it goes good with alcohol).I also like eating outside at street food stalls in Thailand, and share a meal and drink with my friends while eating outdoors :)

I thought I'd give a Persona 5 update.I'm up to the 4th palace(over 25 hours in).I'm loving this game a lot,it's as addictive as I thought it would be,with lots of likable characters that are like real people.

I like the concept of the story MINOR SPOILERS focuses on the general evil sides of humanity,by showing things such as abuse, sexual harassment, blackmail, robbery etc. END OF SPOILERS

The gameplay feels a bit like a combination of Metal Gear Solid and JRPG at times, because the game encourages you to use stealth when going through the dungeons, and you'll often be crawling through air vents, and at time I feel like I'm Snake, rather than a Persona protagonist. The stealth element adds more depth, but it doesn't necessarily make the game more fun.The dungeons feel more complex and harder than how I remember the dungeons in Persona 3 and 4 were.

To be honest,I kinda prefer how Persona 3 and 4's dungeons didn't focus so much on stealth, they let you run through them more freely(made things feel faster),but the stealth elements are still a nice new element to try.

I have made Ann be my Waifu,I found her to be the most fun girl, even though she isn't the prettiest(I find the more Asian-looking girls in the game prettier, but not as fun).

This game is easily one of the most fun RPGs to come out in years.I will go as far as saying Persona 5 and Witcher 3 are the only RPGs since 2013 that I would call memorable(2013 was when Fire Emblem Awakening and Ni No Kuni were released).

I liked how they symbolized many of people's desire in palaces. frankly I've seen real people got obsession like those, it's kinda disturbing.
Then again the gameplay is really great, It made me love JRPGs again. I usually play Anime style action games like Senran or SAO.
This made me get into JRPGs.

as for my Waifus I liked Makoto and Takemi, can't decide which of them to pick. ultimately I need to pick one of them. I choose Takemi. for my next Playthrough I'll go with Makoto. ^_^

Never played a Persona game but I keeping hearing great things about the new one, makes me wish it was on the X1, if I pick up a PS4 again I will be giving P5 a try.

I gave a lot of thought to Persona 5 as my anime entry to try, but pretty sure it was you that told me it is a turned base game. Maybe I should give it a shot, if the premise is good, I could probably overlook the turn based experience.

So far,Persona 4 is still my favorite.I'm 35+ hours into Persona 5,and I must admit it hasn't quite pulled me in in the same way Persona 4 did,but Persona 5 is still very awesome nonetheless. Persona 4's story grabbed my attention right from the start, and never let me go,because something interesting or enjoyable was always happening, whether it's the SPOILERS FOR PERSONA 4 murder mystery elements, midnight channel,Mr Mooroka's attitude,or Risette naughtiness or Yukiko being cute END OF SPOILERS.

I've decided to take another break from Persona 5,and downloaded Sly 2 because it's dirt cheap, and an easy platinum.
There's nothing wrong with Persona 5,and it will likely be my game of the year, but story-driven games can be emotionally-zapping,and I've already invested over 50 hours in it,and I've read many other people invested over 100 hours in it,so I'll have a break from it for a while.

Sly 2 is the type of game that can make me fell refreshed since it has a colorful style, and isn't hard,so I can relax when I play it.However, the PS3 version of Sly 2 that I downloaded constantly makes my PS3 crash. So I downloaded the Vita version(luckily both versions come included with the purchase),and it works good on the Vita, and it's controls for the Vita version work quite well, despite what other people say.

I watched Ex Machina for a 2nd time, and loved it even more this time.I wish more Sci Fi movies would focus on being cerebral, rather than being action flicks.I also love Code 46,Interstellar,The Martian, because they make you think.I hope the new Blade Runner film doesn't turn out to be another action-driven movie. What I like about the first Blade Runner film is it focuses heavily on story, and it uses action when it needs to.I loved seeing the Spinners(flying cars in Blade Runner)fly elegantly near the high reaches of the city,it was art.On the trailers,it showed a spinner flying into a building, and it makes me worried this could be another actionfest, kinda lika how the recent Star Trek movies ended up being.

I must admit,I have played games that I knew were likely to be of poor quality, simply because I got the game for free or because I borrowed it from someone, and the main reason I tried to invest time into those games was to earn trophies. Not surprisingly, most of the most frustrating gaming experiences I've had are from indie games.

However,I will pay money to play an indie game if it looks interesting, especially since some Indie games such as To The Moon,Flower,Journey and No Man's Sky are some of the most memorable gaming experiences I've had.I also found Steamworld Dig very addictive.

I decided to purchase Teslagrad, which is a 2D puzzle/platformer,because it was dirt cheap,it has an 'easy' platinum, and because it looked and sounded interesting.

I've spent a few hours with it today, and just like many indie titles,it's controls feel awkward.I understand indie devs don't have the money or budget of other developers, but I have played some indie platformer games with some decent controls, such as Spleunky and Super Meat Ball.Teslagrad's awkward controls reach a point where they become frustrating, and it feels like the main challenge of the game is dealing with it's controls. It's a shame because the game has other things going for it such as a nice hand-drawn artstyle, and I like it's 16-Bit feel, and the game tries to tell some sort of story in a very abstract kinda of way.

However,I cannot help to think many indie games have controls worse than many 8-Bit and Atari 2600 games, despite having much better technology to use. This makes me think about how many phone games are of poor quality, but they still sell well and are profitable because they have low development costs, and can be sold at a cheap price.I think many indie developers either don't have the skill or don't make much effort to make a game with decent controls, because they know if they sell the game for cheap, and with easy trophies, people will buy it anyway

Obviously Flower and Journey benefit from bigger budgets, but To The Moon and Steam World Dig are examples of indie titles that are low budget, but are enjoyable because a lot of effort was put into them.

I must point out I have played some indie games that are so broken and unplayable,I can't help to think the developer made little effort while developing the game.Such examples are Aaru's Awakening and Luftrausers.Surely the developers of those games knew they were releasing broken products, and I think even asking for a few dollars is still too much. I will go as far as saying Aaru's Awakening is the worst game I've played,it's gameplay mechanics are severly broken,to the extent the game is unplayable, and a majority of people who've played it haven't progressed far enough to earn a single trophy for the game, because it's so broken.

I was talking with some others,we were having a discussion about whether consoles competing in the marketplace is a good thing or bad thing. Some of those people said they hated having to buy multiple consoles, costs much money etc. My reason for supporting a competitive console market is because it gives the big 3 Sony,Microsoft and Nintendo more incentive to be innovative and try harder to make better games,so people want to buy their consoles. On the otherhand, phone game developers release many horrible games that many people will buy because they're cheap, and they can be played on any smart phone, and since there's a lack of competition, these developers don't care how crappy the games they make are, people will buy them if they're cheap.More than 50% of games purchased in Japan are mobile phone games.

Lets not forget Konami stopped making AAA games,so they can focus on making games for mobile phone. The creator of Final Fantasy(Hironobu Sakaguchi)also releases games for phones now, because they're cheaper to developer and sell well.

My point of this blog is,I dislike it when game developers knowingly release games that are almost unplayable hoping to make a quick buck.

Since Thailand is part of ASEAN,it means people from other ASEAN countries can work in Thailand easily, and since people from Philippines,Burma and Laos often speak English better than Thai people, many hotels and companies hire people from these countries. This means many companies are making Thai people do English-language courses,as well as make them pass English exams.

Anyways, since my Thai friends know I'm fluent with English, quite a number of my Thai friends have been asking me for help with their exam, and they will even take photos of their exam paper's questions, and will send the pic to me via an App such as LINE or facebook, and will ask me to tell them the correct answer.I think it's funny they're allowed to look at their phone and use the internet while they're doing an exam. The questions are mostly multiple choice questions,so I can easily tell them if the correct answer is a,b,c,d.

I remember when I was in Australia, the media villainized an Asian woman, because she would do people's university assessments for them if they paid her. I'm doing it for free :P

ASEAN does making its way on my end. I never got curious what it's about and how it's worming its way in schools. My school does have something to do with it and since you're here talking about it now I'm curious to know what it's about.

I agree. It does the game industry and gamers no good in the long run.

"Play is the highest form of research, a chance to discover who we are, or maybe who we want to become." - Albert Einstein
Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape.
Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.

ASEAN is kinda like an establishment of most South East Asian countries cooperating to create jobs and investment and expand various industries in the South East Asian region, and this allows people from any ASEAN country to enter another ASEAN country without a visa(but they still have a limited amount of time they can stay in the country they visit)and it's easier for people from ASEAN member countries to obtain work in another ASEAN country.

For example,American,British and Australian citizens need a visa to enter Vietnam,Laos,Cambodia etc. ,but I can use my Thai passport to enter Vietnam,Laos and Cambodia without a visa, because both Thailand,Vietnam,Laos,Cambodia are ASEAN.

Philippines is part of ASEAN,but Philippines and Thailand have relaxed immigration laws, and give visa exemptions to just about every western country, besides just ASEAN countries.

Yes.But,if Australia becomes a member of ASEAN,it's supposed to allow people from other ASEAN members to enter without a Visa for 30 days, and it will make it easier for them to take jobs away from Australians.I'm sure many Australians would be against this. Also,Australia needs to be voted in unanimously, and Australia doesn't have the best relationship with Indonesia and Malaysia. Many ASEAN members don't want China to join, because China will be too dominant.

Platinumed Sly 2,so I can finally go back to Persona 5.The reason I got caught up in trying to plat Sly 2 is I purchased it for dirt cheap when I was having a break from Persona 5,and after playing it for a few hours,I already had a 30% trophy completion,so I thought I would play through it,but then the game dragged on.I also purchased Ratchet and Clank Into the Nexus for dirt cheap because it has an easy plat, but I won't start it until I beat Persona 5.

I'm about 50 hours into Persona 5,but according to the trophy guide,I'm not even half way through the game. It's very addictive, but overwhelming at the same time.Like I said in another post, the Persona games make you learn deep things about many characters at the same time, and you start to care about the character, but the game makes you schedule the time you can spend with each character with other daily tasks.Sometimes I feel frustrated if I cannot spend time with a character.I know it sounds weird to people who've never played a Persona game, but anyways, that's part of why I needed a break from Persona 5.

My backlog is a bit strange, because besides Persona 5,I haven't even open the box to my copy of Senran Kagura Estival Versus, and I started World of Final Fantasy, but didn't have the mood to level grind, and I bought CSI Fatal Conspiracy last year because it has an easy plat, and I like the CSI series, but I haven't even played it once.I didn't beat Far Cry 3 before I moved onto Persona 5.Now,Ratchet Nexus is on the backlog.

Here is a wallpaper for Senran Kagura Estival Versus

Senran Kagura franchise is a great game, despite people see it as a fanservice and lewd game.
the combat is actually fun and thrilling. The fanservice only adds its charm though. I finished Senran Kagura Estival Versus months ago.
I'm thinking to replay it with different characters plus the DLC characters and mission. That should keep me busy for awhile.

It is a bit shame that most western audience of these kind of games are underrated. Thus most Japanese games isn't getting localization let alone English voices. Then again, other fans of Japanese games and anime prefer Subs over Dubs. but me. I like 'em both though.
Y'know Gameranx and other Gaming channels should review games like these. like Hyperdimension and other Japanese.
to be quite frank they're not as "bad" as they "look" like what most people in western culture claims.

Like I said, The gameplay is actually solid.

Yes,political correctness in certain western countries frowns down upon Japanese games, because they often have large-breasted women dressed revealingly.Dead or Alive Beach Volley Ball had controversy in some western countries, and the box art for Hyper Dimension Neptunia had to be changed for it's western release because it was seen as too revealing, and the girls in Hyper Dimension Neptunia look young.

I prefer Japanese voice acting. When I watch Asian movies and play games set in Asia,I like to hear voices in the local language. Some people argue western voice actors do better voice acting, but when I watch Asian movies,I want to hear the people speak their native language.I actually think Japanese women sound cute, and I prefer to hear them than American female voice actors.

Censorship and pc culture has been affecting gaming in the west for a while now and is getting out of hand with not just the rating boards but devs/publishers taking part in it as well. Hopefully people see sense and gaming can go back to what it was 10 years ago and devs will make games with out having to worry about ticking boxes of things they should avoid and things they should mention/include in their game to meet someone else's agenda.

It's quite a shame that large-breasted women and dressing revealingly is frowned upon. I for one is a fan of those, it's symbol of great figure and femininity
I think it's another kind of art form. Nude paintings won't exist if there's no hotties like them to have a reference from.
I really don't get why people Western folks really get awkward when put up with it, it's like they're shaming bodies. sure we get embarrass when we get little to no clothes in public in real life. but this is what Video-game is great about. being able to do what you normally wouldn't or couldn't in real life yes?

Also, indeed Neptunia does make the characters look really young even if they Transform especially Neptune. That massive difference did made quite the impression in the west. Well, all in all I'd censorship is getting out annoying.

@DamodarThade
I don't think people will come to their senses anytime soon. too much SJWs and people who think they're doing the right thing or too entitled to their opinion a bit too much. Frankly ever since 2016 (more or less) people seems to think their opinion is always needed for everything that is currently being made this time.
The cultural appropriation, racism, diversity, sexually offensive and what not is just what I think is just their own insecurities showing but making it look like they're pointing is out for the greater good. I mean in my opinion I just let things happen as they are.
