Looking to become a streamer, but feeling overwhelmed? Don’t worry, Mixer has got you covered. If you have an Xbox One, starting your streaming adventure is a piece of cake, even if you have never streamed before! In fact, it’s so simple, I can show you in a GIF:

The popularity of game streaming has exploded in the past few years, and Mixer is unique in that it not only lets gamers broadcast or watch their favorite streams, but Mixer also gives streamers and viewers the ability to interact and play along together – it’s pretty cool. The Mixer app gives you the ability to watch, chat, and interact with your favorite game streamers in near real-time You’ll also be able to browse, search and follow your favorite game streams.

And of course, as I’ve already mentioned, with Mixer, you just don’t watch your favorite game streams….you can interact and participate in the stream too. That’s one of the features that makes Mixer unique.

Future streamers, let’s get started! First, you’ll need a Mixer account. If you haven’t already created one, head over to mixer.com or simply open the Mixer viewing app on Xbox One.

Don’t forget to link your Xbox Live/Microsoft account to Mixer! It’s super simple – when you launch the Mixer app on Xbox One, you’ll be asked if you already have a Mixer account. If you do, you’ll get a code to enter on the Mixer website and it will automatically link both accounts. If you don’t already have a Mixer account, your Xbox Live Gamertag will automatically become your Mixer username. For PC gamers on Windows 10, all you have to do is go to your account settings on mixer.com and click ‘Link to your Microsoft Account.’

Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.

In the April 2018 Xbox system update, Xbox is introducing a new Mixer Interactive feature called Share Controller. Mixer streamers on Xbox One can now share control of their game with a viewer on Mixer.com. Just turn on the “Share Controller” toggle from the Broadcast & Capture section in Guide and your viewers will be able to share control through a virtual controller in their web browser, or by plugging a physical controller into their PC.

You can also now start Mixer broadcasts from anywhere on Xbox One, making streaming easier than ever. If you decide to switch games or exit to the dashboard, your viewers will see a pause animation until you jump back into a game. You will also see a pause animation on your broadcasting status bar on your screen.
