Having a bad couple of days. My mother has always had a bad short term memory, but lately it has gotten worse & I've been spending a lot of time helping her with things. Seen the doctor today and he thinks that it could be her meds. Problem is she's been on them for years so why would it start getting worse now. If it isn't her meds and she gets worse I don't know how I'll cope.

So yeah I'm depressed and anxious atm. Not really very talkative, but I really need to talk if that makes any sense.

we're here for you man.You can message me anytime you need someone to talk to.

Hopefully it is the meds.

Currently not in the mood for violence so I bought Starview Valley. It's really been helping me relax. Also been walking around the local lake with mum.

I'm now 70 hours into Starvew Valley. For a game a little over 500MB it's huge. Mum still has problems atm it is wait and see.

Just a quick update:
Brain scan says no cancer! Need a new modem. I'm supposed to be on the NBN but they haven't sent the new one. Connecting is a pain.

I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble. I guess I take mine for granted (until it goes down for a time). 😏

Thanks man. I'm also worried to death about my mum.

I got around 1.2mbps on my ADSL. My NBN has around 600kbps.

Silver lining:
I've woken up early in the morning for an experiment. The NBN works better while everyone else is asleep. Still it's only as good as the ADSL and I still can't use my phone at the same time.

I know Australian people who refuse to switch to NBN because they said there is no proof it will be faster, and don't want to pay more for it.When I am in Australia, the internet will drop out usually around midnight or 1 am or something quite often,Telstra acts like they don't know what I'm talking about, and are extremely rude to me when I tell them I have issues with their sh*tty internet,or when their modem broke down in the past.Australia's internet looks like staying 3rd world standard for a while yet.Do you know Katzenbalger from FUSE? He's Aussie, and he said his internet was down for weeks, and his internet company(I forgot who),said nothing was wrong or gave him a whole bunch of different answers. My brother lives in western sydney, and he was only able to connect to internet in 2015 after they told him for years they couldn't bring internet to his area.

I was doing a little reading into the Australian internet and from what I read it sounds like all the problems are due to Telestra having a monopoly and owning all the lines after the government sold it all to them. I think we in the UK would probably be in a similar position with BT, they owned everything and didn't give a damn until Richard Branson and another company NTL (which Branson later bought) started laying their own cable for a TV/Internet service which kicked BT into gear on cable/fibre wire servies and also made them more open to letting smaller companies use their lines to offer servies.

Hopefully you guys get some good internet soon.

I want to apologise for not being on much. I've been very depressed and anxious lately. I'll talk about that later. For the moment I want your thoughts on my website LINK. It has nothing to do with video games & I want you opinions on it.

My site is a WIP I'm still designing it.

Thade: I'll tell you all about the sorry situation with the net later. Right now I don't want to write about government stuff ups. You're partially right though that is how the sorry state started.

If I may bring up the topic of the state of the internet in Australia once again, well right now I am in Australia, and I told some people that when I rent out properties in Thailand, some of my tenants will complain if the internet is slow or the WIFI is down. These people laughed and said lack of internet is a silly thing to complain about.I told them in Asia, the internet is important,it's used for communication,to get information etc. They just laughed and said my tenants are complaining about nothing.i must say I was shocked to hear this, because I think my tenants have every right to be upset if the internet in their room doesn't work.It seems to me many Australian people are still unaware how underdeveloped Australia's internet really is.

Ooh! Lovely website, I like the colors it's not very bland and very soothing (at least for me)
The Pictures and and the moving picture is very calming. Perfect for reading which is the main purpose of the blog.
I'm sure you can speak about anything in that site.(then again not everything and anything is allowed to talk about)
Looking forward for more of it.
I hope you get better soon though ^_^

@TidusandYuna1
Lack of internet is a serious thing to complain about! The Philippine Dota 2 team lost in a game because of a really slow internet, It caused them the freakin' game! So lack of internet is a thing to complain about.
although, in a different take on it. Maybe Australians aren't internet dependent even in this day and age. come to think of it, most people these days really rely on Internet huh? Or maybe Australians just have a lot of things to do that doesn't involve internet yes?

There is a big Senate investigation into the Internet in Australia because companies are losing billions of revenue. Years ago our Prime Minister was the telecommunications minister and he decided to cut costs by only making the fibre optics go to the nodes in the street and let the old copper crap carry the signal to the home. Of course if you are a millionaire you can get it straight to your door and screw the 99% of us.

A long time before that the Howard government sold Telecom a great company. As Thade figured out the company know known as Telstra went to crap as they would only hire cheap labour overseas and they had a monopoly. As the internet got more important a few more companies came in. Optus and dodo are the two biggest competitors but to me they don't compete enough I hope the ACCC is looking into that because the prices here are insanely high.

To complicate things even further the gov decided to get a separate company to build the NBN & have Telstra, Dodo, and Optus buy bandwidth off NBN Co. They didn't buy enough. NBN co blames the ISPs for the problems, the ISPs blame the old copper wires. The local government is furious with the federal gov & the federal gov blames anyone else.
