That VR sickness reminds me of the original DOOM game. I introduced it to a firefighter friend of mine many years ago. He played for a few minutes and promptly began to feel queasy (not from blood). I told him the feeling would pass, but it's the same mechanism as you described.

Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape.
Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.

Oh if VR can do those sickness I might reconsider myself from one. since I only got into a ship once in my life and I regretted every second of it.
then again, if your body has to emulate that you're moving and not doing so will give you sickness. Isn't it a bit tiring if you keep moving to emulate the VR?
Then again, I don't know how long can one person last in a VR session.

Got this feeling playing Just Cause 3 last night. Used to get it from the of CoD games back on PS2 as well, also the original Quake.

Don't give up on it just yet. I still have to try and see if I can get used to it yet. Motion sickness is different to VR sickness so you might not get it, if you can find a place to demo it it would be good. Also it doesn't happen with every game.

I'm in the middle of playing Dragon Age Inquisition at the moment so it'll be a while, but I'll let you know.

Got a bit of speed in the net the other day and I got to download the latest patch and DLC for FF15. If you haven't read up on the last two patches don't! Surprise yourself and drive to Cidney's Garage now. The DLC is a lot better that the first one too.

Sorry I haven't been online everyone. I've been missing you. Hopefully some time next month I'll be back with a new modem and better NBN infrastructure connecting me. Righ now the net is a crawl.

I knew that this was going to happen. The NBN has been delayed for another month.

Every so often I'm getting error code CE-36329-3 on my PS4. I don't want to delete everything on my HDDs because I have over 1.2TB of data and as you know my net sucks. Does anyone have a solution?

Forgot to mention I get a blank screen before it happens. Sometimes the blank screen doesn't go away.

I recently got Witcher 3 GOTY Edition X1 on Disc & Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4. With my PS4 getting errors sometimes and the crappy dropout/net speeds in AUS I like to have hard copies of games. Now I own them on two consoles I can look forward to all of the achievements again. Also The PS4 version of RotTR has a VR level. They were both really cheap. Good to see developers are still making GOTY Editions.

On that note I worry about the future of games when everything becomes digital. Hackers can steal your account and take every game you own, trade ins will be impossible, & countries with garbage internet will also have trouble.

That's a scary thought.

Yes it is šŸ˜’. Sony and Microsoft might say that they'll be unhackable but that will just challenge good and bad hackers to prove them wrong and eventually they will.
Also let's not forget that jobs will be lost at gaming stores like EB Games (GameStop).

well given enough time and talent hackers will always find a way. let's just hope they don't bother using their talents for games. I mean surely there's a bigger target than games right?
but the thought itself is dreadful to be honest. That's why I mostly prefer buying retail CDs on games(I love the smell of new games after all)
but if all else is not available digital is the only option i guess.

I don't want gaming to become only digital.

I think it will be better if there was price competition between retail stores and Sony/Mic/Nin.Prices for games are often much more expensive online. If games are only digital, then the big 3 can set whatever prices they want for games.People believe part of the reason for the sudden increase in Sony games is because not many people are buying games for Microsoft and Nintendo consoles,so Sony know they can milk more money from gamers.I think it will be the same if digital purchases are the only ones available.

I also like box arts for Japanese games.

What a day. 1st I had a nasty fall and scraped the skin from my right knee. Hurt my hand and shoulder too. 2nd Had a power outage in freezing cold weather. 3rd mum spilled orange juice all over our important papers. Oh well. 4th We never get guests but today one of my aunts and uncles came over. It was great to see them, but they told me about how awful the NBN is (I'll tell you later. I'm in pain now). So I'm a bit nervy about the net and I'm in pain. Hopefully I'll come online tomorrow depends on my hand mostly as it hurts a bit to use the mouse.

Oh and I agree I don't want fully digital either.

So sorry you're hurting. I know the pain from a fall. I fell cleaning the pump in my small pond and fell into the chain link fence and scraping my lower leg. One of the rocks resulted in a puncher wound just below my knee that's still sore to this day.

I hope you heal quickly.

I know what those days are like when everything seems to go wrong.

When I have one of those days, more and more things will keep going wrong,so I will try to sleep as much as I can on those days,so at least when I am in my bed, nothing bad can happen to me.

Masiv: Ouch!

Tidus: Yup it was definitely one of those days. I have sleep days too.

Thanks guys.

Today was great though. Got to spend time with family that I never get to see & despite a bit of pain everything went well.

The mayor has gone to Canberra (our capitol) and has demanded that we get a better internet. The NBN has had major problems here so if Iā€™m not online at the end of next month you know something as gone cataclysmically wrong. Looks like the gov wanted to save a bit of money and because of this everything has gone bust. Some people here have a great connection however 55% have had serious problems like having no internet or phone connection at all.
As you guys are my only friends it makes me very anxious.

I woke up with a lot of bruises today. It happened when I was talking with mum. She tripped and I went to grab her. Sadly I wasn't strong enough and we toppled over. I stopped her head from hitting the wood end of one of the seats, but in order to do that I had to block with my right arm & break our fall with my right knee. Could have been a lot worse though. If she'd hit the arm rest it would have knocked her out so it was a small sacrifice.

Oh dear. Glad to hear you're fine. It is a small sacrifice but still, it must've hurt. Then again at least you have quick reflexes to react fast enough to do that.

Anyway, in other topic. I'm actually happy that your government has some concern about Internet and connections in your country. It is essential to most homes these days, and I'm not only thinking about gaming and stuff like those. Work places and business establishments depends on Internet heavily these days too. so it's great that it is demanded that the internet speed should improve. kinda wish my place does the same.

Having a bad couple of days. My mother has always had a bad short term memory, but lately it has gotten worse & I've been spending a lot of time helping her with things. Seen the doctor today and he thinks that it could be her meds. Problem is she's been on them for years so why would it start getting worse now. If it isn't her meds and she gets worse I don't know how I'll cope.

So yeah I'm depressed and anxious atm. Not really very talkative, but I really need to talk if that makes any sense.

Sorry to hear that. It was one of my dads problems was his memory, he would be fine one minute and next minute couldn't tell who you where. Hopefully the doctor can sort out your mums medication if that is the problem and she will get back to being herself.

Well, I think I understand though. There are somethings that you just wanna sit it down and think about it and at the same time you're looking for someone to talk to about it.
Yes I think I understand. It's always nice to let others to know the situation you're in, It'll make you feel a bit better.
So that being said, I'm sorry to hear that though. If it was medication presumably the causes......... maybe dosage? well I'm not sure. I hope she gets better.
