Release: 2017

Set around the dark events of World War I, Vampyr sees you play as Doctor Jonathan Reid as he slowly adapts to life as a vampire. The game mostly revolves around a progression system that affects the narrative - the more people you kill to satiate your bloodlust, the more different the story will become compared to players that opt for a more... peaceful route.

I think it looks very promising but I have never played a game from dontnod so I am unsure of the quality of their work.

A fresh preview of the game can found here, Like the sound of this game the more I hear about it however having to heal people to maintain order/balance in districts sounds like it could become somewhat of a chore depending on how they go about it. Still the best looking game of next year for me though it has been a rather long time since I played a good Vampire video game.

Good that you discover what happened to the NPC's lives that you effect in the game. I hate not hearing the end to a story I'm invested in.

This is pretty much the same footage that Falcon posted in june from E3 but without any commentary so you can just enjoy watching the game being played. I hope we can create our characters look because he has a bloody huge nose, it's all I noticed when ever we saw him side on 😄

Vampyr is out now.

Developer Dontnod's tale of a vampire doctor is elevated by a lot of great story, characters, and world-building, but its systems and technical hiccups weigh it down.

"Play is the highest form of research, a chance to discover who we are, or maybe who we want to become." - Albert Einstein
Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape.
Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.
