After reading some of the comments on Fuse I was a little disheartened. You've restored my faith!

At the Square-Enix E3 2015 Press Conference they announced that we'll be learning all about the remake at winter US time.

I think we'll get some more gameplay after the end of the original game because Edge, the city from Advent Children, was in the trailer and Edge hasn't been built yet in the game world!

One advantage a remake would have is it can explain the full extent of what caused the love triangle in FFVII SPOILER FOR FFVII the real Cloud died and he was in love with Tifa, the Cloud in fFVII is a clone with Zack's memories and in love with Aerith END OF SPOILERS.The love triangle made more sense after Crisis Core, but FFVII remake can explain love triangle better for those who haven't played Crisis Core.

SPOILERS: Are you sure that Cloud is a clone? Because Zack came from Gongaga Village, while Cloud actually came from Nibelheim. Hojo tries to trick Cloud into thinking that he is a clone, but he is actually a failed experiment into becoming a second Sephiroth.

THIS guy (Best Answer) explains it better. Ultra Spoilers.

I guess we could call him a failed clone.Hojo tried to turn Cloud into a copy of Sephiroth by putting Jenova cells inside of him.

Pretty much. He didn't die though. There is a dream like sequence after he falls into the Lifestream where he realizes that he is not a copy of Tifa's childhood friend, that he is the original Cloud and that Hojo has lied about some things.

Your right. It is very confusing .

Sony Won't Say When Final Fantasy 7 Remake Exclusivity Ends - Senior PlayStation exec says it is not calling it an outright exclusive.

"A CG trailer showed Cloud and Barret walking through the slums of Midgar. In an interview with GameSpot, Nomura indicated that the story in the remake may deviate from the one set out in the original, suggesting the remake may be more of a reimagining."

I don't like the sound of that ^

I think that it is important to mention though that Cloud was strong, One thing the game never explains or at least I can't remember it explaining is how cloud was able to kill sephiroth, How is sword got stuck in cloud and he fell over the edge. It's all very interesting.

Some people think he died after he was impaled by Sephiroth, some people think Cloud is part Cetra which explains his ability to heal quicky hence him surving what should be a fatal wound. Some people think his super strength came from being exposed to mako..Either way,Mojo intended Cloud to be one of something like14 clones to serve Sephiroth and put Jenova cells inside them so Sephiroth could control them.

I always figured that it was the Mako exposure. I've always thought that Hojo experimented on Cloud after he was injured with the Jenova cells.

THIS interview makes me feel a bit better, but I'm still nervous. It sounds like the ATB is going which is a shame and I disagree. I don't think that better graphics should mean that we can no longer have turn based battles. It makes it sound like gaming types are becoming smaller as graphics get better.

I don't like the fact that some things maybe cut, though he does mention that, and I am happy that, they aren't going to do drastic changes! Like a Male Yuffie lol *phew*

EDIT (just found this): Final Fantasy 7 remake was underway before the PS4 PC port was announced

"How the new, slightly darker aesthetic sits with some of the crazier elements of the original game remains to be seen, but it seems they'll be intact. Can't wait to see the delicious sight of Cloud in a dress in glorious HD? "Please look forward to it," said Nomura as the interview came to a close." :D :P

Thanks for your first post. We want to here more from you. Your game knowledge is impressive.

"Play is the highest form of research, a chance to discover who we are, or maybe who we want to become." - Albert Einstein
Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape.
Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.
