Since we were taking about Last Light, I figured I'd play a bit of Metro 2033 last night; it was quite fun and the atmosphere is horrifying. I often found myself having a certain chill down my spine and turn around to find an enemy just staring at me; pure horror genius. I think I will attempt to solely play Metro until I beat it. I've had it for over a year now and haven't justified the purchase yet so it's time to do so.

Watch out for the Demons / Giant Bat things, I am stuck on a level atm against one in Last Light he is a pain to kill but I also have swamp monsters and a giant swamp boss to compete with at the same time :B

Yeah, I've already learned to go around the demon bats...unloaded several shotgun shells into one and all it did was piss him off. Definitely an enemy you don't want to mess with.

Wow, that sounds very difficult. Hopefully you have a powerful weapon that can take them all down.

I have a silenced SMG and a silenced pistol which don't do a damn thing lol, I have a nice double barrel shotgun which works well but I need to wait till he is swooping in to grab me and half the time I time it wrong and he flies away with me in tow and dumps me in the swamp to get eaten by the swamp boss.

I have died about 8 times so far and have resorted to a youtube video which is very helpfull and shows where a nice AR/SMG hybrid type thing is hidden so I'll give that try next time :D

O.M.G. 3 million? How much money did you have? So far, respawn fees seem to be based on how much cash you have. As my assets dwindled, so did the fees.

A good few hundred million 8)

Sounds like quite the struggle lol. Have you had any luck with the swamp boss yet?

I haven't tried again yet, I just got done with Arkham Origins. Rather strange ending i thought and a bit anticlimactic.

I just finished Second Sons free DLC and it was great! Very strange to play a game on two different platforms and really pretend to be your character in the real world hacking into fake government sites.

Get your game back Thade!

That won't be happening, I really didn't like Second Son. It's was great looking and had some fun powers but the game just seemed very light on story and packed full of filler collection stuff. It didn't get me to care for any of the characters either since it didn't let you get to know any of them at all.

I have been playing ME3 MP quite a bit recently. Other than that I got Contrast which was surprisingly a great and beautiful little game. Not for everyone it's a platform/puzzle game but the music, art, voice over and story where also really well done and it is by far the game the I had the most fun and enjoyment playing on the PS4.

You should have gone and played through the good side first. It made sense and you get to like the brother, and the villages. I thought the evil side was poorly made in comparison.

I like being evil in games that let you be, it's usually more fun at least KOTOR,inFAMOUS 1/2 where. Still waiting on that game that will let us be The Joker now that would be bloody good fun >:)

Been playing Assassin's Creed 4 since last night and so far it is much better than Revelations and Part III, love the piracy/ship combat. Sort of feels more like Part II but with pirates :D

I'm also fairy certain Blackbeard's (I think it's Blackbeard) first mate James is a bird lol

Yeah I finally got Platinum for it last week. Love the game, brilliant.

I've been playing some Killzone Shadow Fall Multiplayer, it could use some leader-boards, but all in all it is pretty fun.

Nope, even the Weapon Selection and Upgrade Menu is the same, there is one difference, you don't upgrade weapons with money anymore in the Campaign, to upgrade Weapons and unlock Multiplayer Characters you need to level up, when you level up you get a box and the content inside is random, the level up system is basically a rip off from Gears of War Judgment

I was playing Wolfenstein over the weekend on my PS3 and was enjoying it untill I got to a certain level that was horribly broken. When you get to a prison level if you die you can get stuck on the loading screen and there is no manual save only the autosave and the prison loading screen bug totally corrupts your save :*(

I was without internet for a few day which can be a pain in the arse due to living so far out from the city, but my PS3 patched the game so I hope the patch fixes that bug along with the other small glitches.

All that aside it is a fun game so far the only thing I dislike is the dual wielding and it being needed for one of the perk lines and a fair chunk of the trophies.

Started playing Captain America today and was rather surprised by how much fun it is. I am on the 3rd level and the combat is great it reminds me of Batman Arkham Asylum, very fluid and intuitive. The graphics are not fantastic but nor are the awful, the story so far is set after Cap rescues the prisoners in the events of movie but before he goes directly after Red Skull and he seems to be in the early stages of investigating Hydras advanced weapons. So far very fun game and no bugs!

There are so few of them, I have not bought a movie game since Avatar I usually rent them or skip them all together but a few people told me Cap was good so I am giving it a try. There are 20 chapters so I hope it doesn't get to the point where it seems to drag on too long.

As you may have noticed, I made this topic a sub-form of "New Games Out Now". It seemed logical to keep "games played" with "games out now". Anyway it's here now, so post away guys. :)

"Play is the highest form of research, a chance to discover who we are, or maybe who we want to become." - Albert Einstein
Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape.
Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.
