I hope you're not sick of reading about me still playing this addictive game.

Today was a good day in the Borderland. I was a level 49 Mechromancer and I didn't have much money, about 45 thousand. I needed to get some fast cash and get to level 50 so I could start "The Talon of God" and finish the game.

I remembered that the Christmas DLC, "How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day" was full of presents with lots of cash. I had already played the DLC, but the game respawned the presents full of cash. I left with 250 thousand and a level 50.

I defeated Jack and the Warrior and started a new game in Ultimate VH mode. Now remember that my Psycho character is stuck in UVH mode at Level 51. The good news is that the Mechromancer, with her Robot is moving on. I have passed the stuck area and defeated Captain Flynt and I think I can press on for a while. Yeah.

Bearmeat, I would love it if you could bring your Mechromancer up to 50 and join me for some carnage in the Borderland.

I'm not tired or hearing about it!

I entered the Bloodshot Stronghold today. The Bloodshot Stronghold serves as a makeshift base for the Bloodshot faction and they are really tough now. I started with about 300 thousand to spend and I have died a lot. My money is almost gone and they keep respawning to attack me. Ugh. I may need to go to Sanctuary, raid the Golden Chest for some better weapons and get some more cash from "you know where".

Buy your ammo in the easiest setting it will help you save money. BTW your going to loose a ton of cash in the hardest setting. Be really careful and use transfusion grenades with singularity it really helps!

Thanks for the advice. I did go and get better weapons and came back to fight.

I have been learning some things about the way the AI works. Near the vending machines are two doorways that lead to the same area, a round-about if you will. I found that if I'm in trouble, I can keep going around that small circuit, they will break off the attack and start to move to that next room. They disappear from radar but I can still hear them taunting me and I can see them walking away. I've even had them stand in front of me and walk away as long as I stand still, or move slowly. This has saved my life many times.

I fought through the Stronghold and got to Roland. I ended there because of the time it took to get there.

Yesterday, I had to clear the Stronghold again just to get to where I was the last time. This time I got to Friendship Gulag where W4R-D3N (a mini-boss) has taken up a station near the holding cells at the back of the facility forcing another fight through Hyperion forces to reach it.

I hope the game will let me start here and not have to go back again. I will scream if that happens. I have killed so many loaders and bandits that I leveled up to 53 without turning in the mission for points.

It did. The game loaded the "Friendship Gulag" and I started killing loaders. I don't know if I can destroy the W4R-D3N by myself in UVHM. It was hard enough in TVHM.

Any advice?

I left the Gulag and went back to Sanctuary, got two Level 53 purple rifles, and then went to open xmas presents again for cash. I got 360,000 in cash and back to Sanctuary. I think I'll try some smaller missions until I get stronger.

Yeah it's only going to get worse. If you run out of cash I can give you some. Might have a few good weapons to help you out too with any luck :)

I accepted a mission from Dr. Zed called, "Medical Mystery: X-Com-municate" located in Three Horns Valley. I had to acquire an E-Tech gun that shoots bullets modified with Eridium and kill 25 bandits with that gun. There are two ways into their lair and they are on opposite sides of their underground camp.

What I discovered, quite by accident, is that there is a way to get onto there lookout, the back door. The bandits can climb stairs into the mouth of a long dead dinosaur jawbone complete with 5 feet tall teeth. It's set on a rocky outcrop, to high to jump up to from the outside. To get up to the jawbone from the outside, stand in the roadway with the active geyser between you and the outlook. Now, if you time it right, you can run across the top of the geyser and the eruption will send you high in the air and onto the outlook right near the teeth and stairs.

Try it. it's pretty cool. 8)

....I want to tell you that I got my first Legendary item since I've been playing this crazy game. I actually got it last night, but I didn't notice it until I was playing co-op with Bear this morning.

I picked up a bunch of stuff after completing the mission Cult Following: The Enkindling, located in Frostburn Canyon and thru it into my backpack. Then, while playing this morning, I saw this wondrous gold shield in with my other stuff. I couldn't believe it. I thought maybe it was something else. But there it was.

So this shield is called "The Flame of the Firehawk" and is a legendary nova shield manufactured by Maliwan. It is a powerful nova shield which repeatedly releases novas for as long as the shield remains depleted. As with all nova shields, the Flame of the Firehawk is well-suited against melee attackers and tightly clustered crowds.

And boy does it put out some earth-shattering fire in a ring that spreads out in all directions. I'm so excited. And I leveled up to 43. Here's a video about the Fire Hawk shield.

I was playing Cult Following: The Enkindling again today, as a level 54 and tonight I finally got "The Flame of the Firehawk" level 54. Wow, it's a dream I've had for some time now. I'm ready. Come at me bro.

I leveled up to 55 Sunday night. It seemed to take a looong time to get. I know the point requirements get greater each level, but Jeeze, come on.

I went back to Friendship Gulag (level 53) thinking I could beat it now. I forgot the AI levels up to my level in UVHM. I was quickly reminded of that fact. Ouch, I didn't get very far. The loaders are fierce. Anyone near my level want to help? Bearmeat?

Anyway, I'm going to have to search out side missions until I get the story missions moving again or until BL-TPS comes out. *:|

I would gladly help you but I lack two vital components; I currently don't have gold (thankfully Netflix is not longer limited to gold), and my highest character is my Mechro whom is only level 40. I took a long hiatus which kinda hurt. You're using the Mechro as well, right?

Yes, I couldn't make any progress with my Psycho character in UVHM. The robot is much better than the buzz-axe.

I want to pick the right character for BL:TPS and not get stuck with a character like the Psycho that I can't advance.

On March 1st, Borderlands 2 will be available as a free download as part of the "Games with Gold" program thru Xbox Live. This also marks the time that BL2 becomes backward compatible on Xbox One. So if you have BL2 and have upgraded to the Xbox One, you can play this great game again.

I was at it again Sunday. I'm still at Friendship Gulag trying to advance. There's no way. I've hit my limit. In fact, I'm at the beginning of the mission. I've killed so many Badass Loaders and then died that I finally leveled up (level 56), in that one area. My mach robot is the only show of force I have. Forget about killing the Boss here.

I'm going to have to switch back to my Siren character so I can move forward again.

I'm back in. Borderlands 2 has done it to me again. It sucked me in and now, I'm full on BL2 again. How could this happen? My Siren character is at level 24 and I'm hooked like I was before. I am also finding little areas that I hadn't seen before, like deactivating the electric field and "Get Shorty" at the end of "The Fridge".
