Before the mass exodus on Gamespot,I used to do an annual game of the year award blog, where I'd mention my overall favorite game, plus my favorite game from each genre.Anyways,I thought I'd catch up a bit,and I'm only going to count games that I've played.

2016

The Eden of Grisaia

I'm going to cheat with this award, because the localized version of this game came out early in 2017,but it won't stand a chance against Persona 5,and since I didn't play many other titles in 2016,I thought I'd count this as being close enough to a 2016 game.

The grisaia series is about troubled people, who are sent to an academy, that's really a prison,so they can get educated, and put on the right path.Skip forward to the 4th game in the series, the main character(Yuuji) is suspected of terrorism, but at the same time, you see how him and Yumiko have created a romance, and want to live a relaxing life together. It's hard to talk about the plot without giving away spoilers, but I love this game because of the artwork and peaceful feeling it gives. Here is an example

Honorable mentions No Man's Sky and World of Final Fantasy.Incase you're wondering,I don't own a PS4,hence I haven't played Uncharted 4.

2015

Witcher 3

Memorable quests/characters,romance,and a huge world to explore make this game my favorite game from 2015.I like how you see the world affected by the decisions you make. It's combat is fluid and requires various strategies with various weapons on the harder difficulties. You can spend 100 hours exploring it's world and discovering many interesting stories within it's world.

Honorable mentions Metal Gear Solid 5 and Life is Strange

2014

Ar Nosurge

A creative and unique story,in which 2 pairs of characters begin on separate adventures,so you will see 2 separate stories viewpoints for a while, and 1 of the character pairs have a friend who is in possession of an ancient song magic that could be used to defeat aliens who have oppressed the human race, but she has gone missing.

The story has some interesting plot twists, and is quite funny, and has an adult feel, despite being anime style. The game has romance choices as well. It's combat system isn't great, but at least it's different.

Honorable mentions Akibastrip and Wolfenstein NWO.

2013

Fire Emblem Awakening

A lot of likable characters, lets you create romance and make children with your partner, and the permadeath will make the story emotional when a character dies, and can be tactically crippling for your party. The battle system has a lot of tactical depth, with many different unit types with various strengths and weaknesses, and it takes place on a grid style system.I like how the story has numerous things the characters need to deal with at once.

Honorable mentions Beyond Two Souls and Ni No Kuni.

I decided to give Injustice Gods Among Us a try, because I borrowed it from my brother. I didn't have too high expectations of it because I've played another similar themed game from the same developer named Mortal Kombat vc DC,and I wasn't a big fan of it,and I don't like many western fighting games because their fighting mechanics feel too stiff for my liking. I like the fluidity and flashiness of Japanese fighting games. Injustice turned out how I expected,it's style of fighting feels too stiff for my liking, although it has great presentation and beautiful graphics. The characters have great designs and nice details, and I like how the environments can get damaged and it can cause things such as water or steam or explosions to injure the characters. I especially like Aqua Man's underwater stage.

I've always had an interest in the supernatural, but I am very skeptical about most people's claims about experiences with ghosts, same goes with quite a number of my friends who told me they can use witchcraft to levitate, but when I asked them to perform a demonstration, they made up some reason why they couldn't do it.Anyways, the stories of the 'Black Eyed Children' AKA BECs always scares me,I don't know why.Something about them gives me the chills.

The BECS supposedly knock on your door at night, and ask to come inside. They will give a reason why they need to come inside(to use your telephone, use the restroom etc). They speak with no accent, and with no emotion. When they are refused entry, they persistently continue to knock(they do a slow, repetitive knock),and they will continue to inform the residents they need to come inside. They have eyes that are completely black. After a period of time without being allowed inside the place of residence, they will vanish.

Here are 5 chilling stories about alleged encounters with BECs.

How do I put this. I don't believe in ghosts but I've definitely seen one. It's private so if anyone wants to read about it send me a PM.

I know what you mean. I don't believe in ghosts in the traditional sense(such as them being spirits or lost souls),but I think the consciousness of someone(alive or dead)can exist in an out of body state, and can be transferred into another body or dimension. But,I don't think ghosts are just manifestations of a person's consciousness like many people make them out to be.

As for the BECs,a common theory that me and my friends have is they could be demons.Buddhists and Christians believe they are protected from Demons, but we still have the free will to allow a Demon entry into home, hence the BECs ask for permission to enter.

My new purchase

I actually wanted to buy a NES classic, but I didn't want to pay more than 5000 baht for one. The lowest the seller offered was 7000 baht,so I walked away, then the seller offered me a SNES classic for 4800 baht. I thought ''why not''? since I love the SNES's game library more than the NES game library, and it's only a matter of time before the SNES classic gets sold at ridiculously high prices like with the NES classic.

You should have brought two and sold the other when the prices skyrocket!

You've probably heard people say this before, but it would have been nice if these NES and SNES collections included more games. I've recently discovered the Japanese version of the SNES classic includes Super Street Fighter 2,where as the western releases have only Street Fighter 2 Turbo. The western NES classic has the original Final Fantasy, which the Japanese NES classic doesn't,but the Japanese NES classic has Kung Fu and NES Golf, which the western NES classic doesn't get.

Oh well,at least the NES and SNES classics still have a reasonable amount of good games, and the emulations are done well, and Nintendo handled things themselves.

The Mega Drive(GENESIS)classic was made by a 3rd party, and I heard the emulation for many of the games is bad(graphics and sound issues),and I've heard the games don't have a save feature(not even for RPGs that take over 20 hours to beat)and I've heard the controller is terrible and needs batteries.

I didn't bother with the newer NES because I still have the old one and I have many many more games on it.

Since the new Star Wars is due out soon and has everyone talking about it,it's made me think about how even though I'm not a big fan of the Star Wars movies,I like the Star Wars KOTOR game, which I played on Xbox many years ago. It used a darker and more serious tone to it's storytelling and character stories. I guess since Bioware developed it,it had a more adult feel. I also loved the atmospheres for Manaan(an aquatic world with a silver city that's built on top of the ocean),and Taris(a futuristic city with a purplish tinge to it).

I also have never been a fan of The Walking Dead TV series, because it focuses too much on soap opera stuff for my liking, but I loved The Walking Dead game from Telltale. TWD game has intense scenes with the zombies, and human bad guys, and I found the characters in WTD game to be more likable. Even though I'm not a big fan of Batman,I love the Telltale Batman game.

KoTOR is a great game, the upcoming mod/remaster looks amazing I hope it gets completed and ends up as good as it appears to be. I have to agree with you on TWD that is why I gave up watching it, same with Falling Skies they just ended up with too much focus on the soap opera type stuff rather than the horror/sci-fi aspects of the stories which was a real shame.

As some of you know,I travel a lot,so I often don't have access to my home consoles. But I take my portable consoles with me. My girlfriend saw my Vita laying around, and she asked me what does it do?

I showed her,and she was impressed with it's functions, although I couldn't show her the graphics for Uncharted Golden Abyss since I didn't bring it's game card,so I showed her World of FInal Fantasy instead, and she enjoyed watching me play it.

I told her it's a Japanese game, which has people go on a quest. Anyways, playing World of Final Fantasy once again has made me realize how beautiful and charming it is,but it's a game you can't have high expectations of .The game was meant to be old school and charming, but was never likely going to compare to the FF games that had a lot more production values put into them

I've known for a long time not to hype yourself too much for any game, because I learned that lesson with Final Fantasy 12. I was disappointed with it at first, then I played it again later and appreciated it's good points later. I enjoyed the limited amount of play time I put into World of FF last year, but wasn't in the mood to continue on with it,so I waited until a time I could appreciate it more, and I do see the beauty and charm in it even more so now.

So my girlfriend's freeloading 'friends' are at it again. Showing up just to get free food. I bought a whole heap of steak and barbecue pork, but guess how much I shared with them? Zero. I even went as far as to hiding it from them. I know it sounds childish, but I'm tired of them. My girlfriend can't come to Bangkok with me,because she works in Rayong, but we can find somewhere else in Rayong to live. Part of the problem is,the place she is renting has a backyard that's connect to her neighbours,so they literally walk into her backyard when it's dinner time. She is starting to dislike them, because she saw one of them kicking and stomping on her mother's pet dog(they followed us to visit her mother to get free food). At first she defended them(she talked about how I should show kindness and generosity to people),but now she understand they are sponges.

Part of the problem is,her sister actually likes those imbecile neighbours. I tried to explain to my gf what a 'redneck' is,because I've been trying to explain to her that the behaviour of her neighbours is unacceptable, they aren't just freeloaders and animal abusers, they are loud and drunk and boarish. Thai people just refer to this behaviour as 'Mai dee' (not good),and I tried to tell her westerners have more descriptive terms for various things.

The neighbours I'm talking about are actually a married couple.Sometimes, the woman neighbour walks into our place of residence by going through the backdoor when my gf is at work(she doesn't knock or anything),and she will try to talk to me and act all cute(even though she has a husband)and one time I was sleeping and I wasn't wearing any clothes(just a towel)because I showered beforehand, and I woke up to see her staring at me and fiddling with stuff in the room.

Anyways,I told my girlfriend I'm not tolerating their behaviour for much longer, either we move somewhere else in Rayong or she comes to Bangkok with me.

Man, they're commonly known as assholes. I think those kind of people are just nothing but trouble I hope your gf sees it as well.
married couple with the wife being flirtatious to the neighbor, please I've read too many doujins already to know where this is going though.
We have those kind of people here in Philippines as well. I don't know which is worse. It's like they're like that, freeloading I guess, We never let neighbors befriend us hell, we're the family who doesn't hang out with neighbors really well. but I guess I have friends in school who almost does the same, but they usually just tell me "Palibre naman"(give us some treats) It's kinda annoying since they'll push that we're friends or something. I mean we are friends but it's not like a reason to give people treats like that right?

anyway. you never thought about y'know, talk to them, like........ What's the most elegant way to tell people you don't like how they act and need to back off?
kinda like that so it doesn't appear like you're picking a fight. although it is gonna look like you're picking a fight because well, they'll treat that as a threat Rednecks don't like being threatened.

So I really hope things will work out for you and your gf.

Salamat for the wishes. Yes,Thailand and Philippines being 3rd world countries means the poor are very poor, and can often be scabby.I don't mind giving a bit of food to family and friends(Thai culture actually encourages it,since Thai's often eat with family and friends,HOWEVER,when poor people start developing a sense of self-entitlement and act as if I owe them free stuff, then that pisses me off. I don't like it when they tell me which restaurant they want me to take them to,or when they decide they want to eat seafood and ask me to buy it for them, and when I refuse, they gossip about me,and have the nerve to tell other people within the circle of friends about me 'complaining a lot' and me 'being selfish.

I've read stories from western men who marry Filipinas and live in isolated villages and her family member show up to get free food, and they never leave. It's kinda the same in Thailand too.Poor relatives and low income friends following the foreigner around like an ATM.Some foreign men said they had to literally yell at his Filipina' wife's family members to leave the house, and then when he walks around town, the locals treat him badly,as if he is the bad guy,and he no longer feels safe.I've had similar experiences with family members of Thai women.

Damn that hits way too close to home to tell you the truth. How come 3rd world countries such as ours have almost the same culture. That or otherwise.
The one with self-entitlement is something I really hate the most, although I've seen people in my place people who do give their food and treats them willingly.
especially when something great happened to them, say winning a lottery, earned a big sale from a business or something but commonly winning a lottery.
Some news do show that those winners just bought a lot of stuff went on vacation just wham! expenses went sky high. then give money to friends, friends of friends and extended family
As Balato(I don't know how I can translate it but I guess you know it) so your luck will be doubled or something next time you do something.
I really hate the idea of it. plus "Being selfing" and "complaining a lot" that doesn't happened when you don't treat them. It happens when you come to collect what money they borrowed from you >.<

Well, not just Western men, some locals tend to do that too. Man, the chunk of cash they put just so that the girl won't get mad and leave them. It's kinda shame that Thai and Filipinos are almost the same mindset like that. maybe because of Media influence or maybe History. but I'd like to believe it's more on Media not history. since most people here blame Spanish rule for the bad habits (like crab mentality) came from Spanish. I'd like to believe they're just a bunch of D-bags.

A while ago I posted pics of some of my collectibles, before we had a blog feature. I purchased some additional collectibles,as well as upgrades.

First I'll start with my new stuff for the 1989 He-man series(Not Masters of the Universe).

When I took at pic of my Starship Eternia 1/2 way through last year,I didn't have the big gun on the top.I managed to track one down late last year, but have only taken a photo of it now.

The big gun makes the space station transformation phase of the Starship look even better, and I purchased 2 characters, one of them is Icarus, the other is the guy wearing army colors(I forgot his name).

An entire view of the Starship Eternia Space Station transformation.

A new shuttle I picked up

A new contraption with a giant claw for skeletor

Here is some stuff I posted last year, but I'll post it again here in my blog.

1989 He-Man still in box, with one out of the box

Vintage He-Man from Masters of the Universe

1989 He-Man series Skeletor

1989 He-Man series Kalamar

An assortment of Masters of the Universe figures.I'm sure you recognize the other edition of He-Man,an Orco

I've played Senran Kagura Estival Versus for a couple of hours now.As expected,it has a Dynasty Warriors feel, with girls with big boobs. The battle mechanics have more depth than what I anticipated. Some complex combos, and diverse abilities, such as a character who specializes in throwing bombs, and some characters are good at attacking while in the air and can unleash some spectacular, and very long combos.

The game also has things such as a boob Goddess, and transformations where characters will become naked and their clothing will transform, and the boobs of the characters will bounce around to the extreme.

It's lots of fun.

Here's footage of some of the transformations

In Senran Kagura,if you meet certain requirements, you can do a 'creative finisher' on boss opponents. This will make the women(who will be wearing little clothing in the censored version,or no clothing in the uncensored version)end up being knocked against a window, and her boobs will be pressing against the window,or she will be knocked into the water, and an octopus will grope her.
