It's a shame RTS aren't that big in the Video Game industry anymore. Koreans lost their sh*t when Wings of Liberty got announced.
You should try replaying Starcraft in remastered so you can get into the story again and continue where you left off. it's great. ^_^

I'm not sure. I guess I was disappointed with the path Dawn of War 2 and Command and Conquer 4 took in regards to not allowing base building ,focusing less on story and more on online etc. so I forgot about RTS for the most past. Valkyria Chronicles got me interested in strategy games again . I even own some of the Dawn of War novels, and I loved Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun and C&C 3,despite many people finding much fault in them.

Yeah, I see what you mean. oddly I played through Valkyria Chronicles for about 19 hours. ended up not finishing the game.
Maybe it's just me or maybe others feel this too but, It seems that Valkyria is kinda get tiring if doing so in 3 hours in one session.
I usually get into a mission that lasts an hour to finish. after that. I feel tired like yeah tired, just like finishing my finals or something.
Never finished the game.
Although art style and everything is great A.I. opponents are kinda exploitable. but maybe that's just me.
P.S.: Selvaria is best girl, Selvaria is so Sexy!

I played Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 back in the day. They were great, but if I were to say it today. Maybe I'm indulging nostalgia a bit too much. people these days especially newcomers to gaming might say it's old. well it is but it made my childhood so yeah nostalgia sake.
C&C 3 and Red Alert 3 went OP. it has its ups and downs to be honest. I just can't hate it or like it. I guess we could say it's "Meh" to me.

EDIT: Forgot about Dawn of War, I never played it. but my brother have. he says it's a good RTS it has Comebacks and everything. well I guess he compares it a lot to StarCraft but StarCraft is better hands down he said. plus he loved the Creatures and Characters design in the game. Me? I can't find a pretty lady to like there. čśĹ

"I guess I haven't been a fan on Telltale games, weirdly enough I read a lot of Visual Novels and play Visual Novel style games like Hyperdimension and Senran Kagura.
I only played The Walking Dead Telltale game Season 1. haven't touched Season 2 and so forth of the series. but it was great, made me teary a bit to Lee.

As for others The Wolf Among Us is kinda interesting in its own way. but never played it, just look in other vids and watched my brother play a bit.
I'd pick Persona 5 as my Game of the Year too. I'm quite crushed between P5 and Nier Automata really both are great but both are unique.
Nier's melancholic atmosphere really brought out the feeling of loneliness in a thousand year old post-apocalyptic Earth. I'm quite glad that the same composers that made Drakengard 3
are the ones who made also in Nier: Automata, just amazing. Original song of ending of the game is also great, just very emotional. comes in 3 different languages too, Eng, French and Jap.

On a Side note. Persona 5 took my heart as I marathon the game from start to finish, and only playing it when my family is not around to avoid spoiling it to them. The theme and overall creation of the world is so realistic it's great. Sure Nier made me a bit guilty and a bit of existential crisis but Persona 5's Acid Jazz music and rebellious theme just inspires me to be who I am and show it to the world! It is hard for a game to inspire me in a personal level. so there's that my GotY for 2017.
I might Reblog this in my own Blog I'm kinda feeling guilty flooding you with this."

Here it is a complete Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V from Tidus's blog. GotY part.
Well, I have to say I never really paid much attention on what GotY for me in the past I just thought about it now since Tidus and the others are listing theirs. I thought I should be
doing mine too, I'll start from this year and so forth or try to make one every year.
I didn't played too many new games for this year.
but thought about mentioning this.

SAO: Hollow Realization. The DLCs came out in the late 2017 I've waited for all of it to come out who the heck thinks episodic DLCs are great, but all's well that ends well. here and there. Now I know most people said this was a boring heap of JRPG based on an anime that is based in a manga that is based in a Light Novel. but for me playing for 190hrs or so with all the DLCs and added content are there just made it a bit fun for me. Grindy but fun then again most JRPGs are grindy. what I liked about it is the infinite or maybe just a 1000 floor randomly generated dungeon with lots of loot made it great, plus costumes I'm a sucker to that sorry. Not as many hrs I've poured like I did Diablo 3 (because I still play D3 up until this day and age) but it's a fun ride although story is much preferable in Game rather than in the Light novel, manga or Anime. still your Harem king Kirito. (I wish it's yuri not no) I guess I can't have everything in one yeah?

The only Sword Art game I've played is The Lost Song. I was enjoying it until some control issues put me off it. But it certainly had some charm,

I was devastated when they cancelled the Command and Conquer Series. RTS has been dying out.

Indeed, RTS is a dying breed of video games. I was quite excited when Halo Wars 2 came out. It could've been an RTS game changer that will bring the genre back from the dead.
Sadly it didn't made a breakthrough. Though it was made by Creative Assembly so I thought they probably know what they're doing. in fact they do. but what I just don't feel like it's working is the Blitz system, sure it seems awesome that it's based in a somewhat Card Game like, but the crappy part of it was the microtransaction and pay to win tendencies.

I've seen a lot of players that has a steroid filled high level cards that has the same energy costs to summon while I got whimsy cards with the same energy costs.
so that there breaks the rules of playing fair in a card game, no doubt they filled those steroid using cards a microtransaction crap.

Valkyria Chronicles can be speed runned in less than 2 hours if you take advantage of Alicia's scouting abilities, base capturing and using grenades, but doing so means not enjoying the tactical depth the game offers to the fullest extent.

Kane from C&C is one of my favorite villains of all time. He uses manipulation and promises his followers a world with no more poverty and more equality(kinda like a fascist version of Socialism).

Dawn of War has much faster gameplay than Starcraft(very fast building, and units are built in bigger groups),but the factions are not as well balanced as in Starcraft. The story for Warhammer takes places over millions of years, and has many different races/factions.

I'm fine, I'm still in one piece.
Though the storm took a number on electricity, we went brownout from hours and hours. luckily people got to safety and floods aren't that much deep and no one got hurt.
Damn, That cancels too many plans. really heavy rain and high winds. luckily we got through 2 storms in a row and we're in one piece.
Thank you so much for the concern ^_^

Glad to see you're ok!
We've gotten a big storm in Australia. I wonder if it was the same one. I was in a power blackout too. There were some floods and trees down. Did you get hail the size of golf balls?

We don't get hails in Philippines, people would enjoy a really cold day if it there ever was one. although knowing how weather and science works I don't think I'll like hails in my place if it starts raining ice.
Philippines only have 2 seasons rainy and summer. no autumn and no snow.
Coldest place is Baguio.
