Has anyone here seen the Ghost and the Darkness? Yesterday I was watching a documentary about beasts that if were human would be classed as serial killers and this movie was referenced, and I thought you guys might want to see it too.

If you are thinking that this must be a crappy dangerous beast movie like Jaws you are very much mistaken. It blows Jaws out of the water. It is nothing like the other movies it is genre and I recommend it highly!

It is available on Amazon Video and VUDU for streaming. There is one showing on ENCHD-E (StarzEncore) cable TV on Dec 11, 2016 at 3:15pm EDT if you can get it.

You can also get a copy on XBL. Not PSN though I checked.

I've seen Ghost in the Darkness.I thought it is quite good. The concept of Lions killing humans for fun made the move very suspenseful. Plus, unlike Jaws, the characters were never safe from these Lions,I don't to say more because it would be spoilers.I thought Michael Douglas gave a great performance too, even though he doesn't show up until later in the movie, when he did come he really stole the show.

I posted a trailer for League Of Gods earlier in the year, it appeared on my providers on demand today so I gave it a watch and loved it. The story is good and easy enough to follow but hints at things that could be deeper which is a given since it is based on a book so there is only so much you can squeeze into a 90 minute movie. The film is very CGI heavy almost as much as Avatar but it looks great and the acting is brilliant, action scenes are fun with a good amount of comedy sprinkled in to balance things out it actually had my in stitches a couple of times.

Worth watching if you like fantasy films and don't mind the CGI, I usually prefer practical effects myself but can enjoy the CGI fests if they are done well enough.

The cinematography in League Of Gods was very beautiful at times, lots of bright colour use and the make up was amazing too. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for the second movie.

On the topic of long awaited sequels I saw Independence Day 2, awful movie. I cringed through most of it from terrible dialogue, acting and the only joke I found funny was Brent Spiner's backside. The story was fairly typical and predictable and I have no idea how they thought this would be the start of trilogy since I actually found myself fast forwarding through parts of the movie due to getting bored or just couldn't stand listening to badly written lines.

I liked the teaser too and looked forward to see the movie but was very much a let down for me and the set up for the new alien race was very similar to the Atlanteans/Wraith storyline from Stargate.

I'm kinda anticipating Assassin's Creed too. Might watch it this Sunday if our one and only Theater shows it. being in a small city has its downsides, this is one of them having only one theater. but regardless I saw them premiering "Your Name" Anime movie so they'll definitely show AC.

Anyway. I just watched The Empire of Corpses

It's good but not great. from fair to good. I like how the English dub went. It has a very good accent for the English and Russian Characters really alive. and the Characters do look great.
but the story got downhill when it is in the final battle. kinda lost me there. but the introduction is great.

Just watched the Assassin's Creed movie. it's not as bad as people say it is. it's just that people with 0 knowledge about the game or the Assassin's Creed World will really have a hard if not bad time understanding what's going on the movie. but if you're a fan and played a lot of AC games you'll get it pretty quick and it's not that bad.

The Soundtrack isn't all Assassin's Feel. I was waiting for more like the ones in AC2 or AC3. but it's not oh well. but it doesn't make it any worse. I'd rate it 8/10 IMO.

Have you watched it? What do you think? all you expected or what?

I haven't seen it yet but I want to see it ASAP.

From the trailer, I could see how people could be confused about the sim and going back to relive the past. Playing the game would definitely help in understanding the plot.

Those who play games know why they do. To discover worlds, to challenge our fingers, and our minds. To connect with friends, or maybe just to escape.
Games are about possibilities, the paths we take as well as the ones we don't.

I'm going to wait till AC is on TV here so probably later on this year and soundtrack in the trailer was awful so if it has more of that nope, I might just watch Braveheart again instead 😛. Planning to go see the new Underworld movie though, seen the rest in the cinema and enjoyed them all.

I just got finished watching a movie called Kill Command, not the greatest name but a good action/sci-fi movie that looks to offer a glimpse at where technology is heading and how it could backfire on us. Some of the tech maybe a little far fetched but some of it isn't and is quite scary at how it could be used to further a total surveillance society.

I must say, the soundtrack isn't good at all. I didn't felt like it was AC at all. but disregarding that the movie is fine. great if you know the games.

Hearing a lot of mixed opinions of it from people who like the game series.I don't like going to movie theatres ,but if I did, this would be one of those 'wait for it to come to TV' type of movies.

An interview with the new Alien movies leading lady including pictures which are very Ripley looking and a rather plastic looking knock off Nostromo set in the background of one picture. Potential spoilers including one that is a rumour which could be very silly if true perhaps even more silly than Hicks turning up alive in Colonial Marines 😄

More Aliens stuff, Youtube recommendations seems to be determined to try and get me exited for the new movie although I am determined not to. One good recommendation was this channel which has some great short videos full of facts and explanations on the entire Alien franchise.

Ha, I've actually been watching that very channel for the past few days. There is some interesting content and some of the theories are quite plausible. I'm excited for Covenant but I'm sure I'll be disappointed.
